Points to watch:
The financial web site Internet stocks (Marketwatch.com
and the street.com) failed to participate in the November Internet rally.
Marketwatch.com has been in a steady
decline since hitting its post-September bottom rally high on October 26th
at 62.19. The stock closed down 0.50 at 47 yesterday and appears
headed for a retest of support at 44.25-44.68 (the 10/19/99 and 11/15/99
lows). Short term technical indicators remain negative. Daily
MACD gave a sell signal on November 15th, stochastics is heading lower,
and OBV has begun to turn down.
A sell signal would be given on a break
below 44.25, with the next downside support at 39.75-40.50, and
37.50. Resistance is at 50.25 (the 38% retracement of the
9/2/99-10/26/99 rally) and 51.75-52.43.
